Trojan Pep Band Game Tomorrow

Good evening,

Itinerary for tomorrow is estimated and I appreciate your flexibility! We are excited to face some new schools in this new region.

Itinerary:

12:15: Parent volunteers report to CHS Band room to meet with Ms. Menendez

12:30: Report to CHS band room (Don Hall Band Room)

1:00: Warm up inside band room

1:45 report to stands

2:00 Game begins

4:00 Game Concludes. Student pick up at CHS Band room

Uniform: White Trojan Band shirt (set to be delivered this week) and shoes and shorts of your choice. Sun glasses and hats are highly recommended as our students will face the sun when they play.

Trojan Band Game

Good evening,

I am excited about this Saturday, the 28th! Our Junior High football team will host their first home game of the year and we will be there to support them. Trojan band is an optional activity but we have a LOT of students signed up this year. I am so excited for the community to hear what great things your students are doing.

Itinerary for Saturday is estimated and I appreciate your flexibility as we adapt to playing games on Saturday rather than Thursday nights. We are excited to face some new schools in this new region.

Itinerary:

12:30: Report to CHS band room (Don Hall Band Room)

1:00: Warm up inside band room

1:45 report to stands

2:00 Game begins

4:00 Game Concludes. Student pick up at CHS Band room

Volunteers: Please report to the CHS Band room at 12:15. I will use your help to fill up coolers with ice, set up water bottles and food, and much more. I appreciate your willingness to help!

I am looking for a volunteer to pick up the pizza from American Pie around 2:15 on Saturday. Please let me know if you are willing to do so.

Tuesday is the last day to sign up your student for our pep band.

Trojan Pep Band: If your child is interested in participating in our Trojan Pep Band please complete the Google Form below and submit the fees as soon as possible. This is due by Tuesday, August 17th.

Wow! This has been an incredible year so far! These are some hard working students! This website has important information. There are some important reminders below as well as some new updates!

Calendar for the Year:

I have finally been able to get all of the dates for the entire school year for our band program. Please print off the following pdf to help keep your schedule up to date. I will also update our calendar on this website within the next few days.

Handbook: Your student has been sent home with a packet that shows you how to subscribe to this website, your band fee payment, as well as a handbook agreement form. Please sign and return the forms along with the $30 band fee before September 3rd. The handbook is located below and must be read in its entirety before signing.

Calendar: In the next week or two I will have to entire school year’s calendar uploaded under “Calendar” on this website. You can sync that calendar to your personal calendar or just reference it when needed. A paper copy of our events for the school year will be sent home in the near future.

Equipment: Your students need the following:

All students:

  • Black 1/2 inch or 1 inch binder
  • Sheet protectors
  • Pencil
  • Instrument

Percussionist:

  • Stick bag (I have extras)
  • Sticks

Clarinets, saxophones, and double reeds:

Brass:

Uniform change: We have decided to move away from our Carrollton Band Polos and move towards “concert black”. Our uniform is meant to look professional. Please consider acquiring these items sooner rather than later.

  • Black slacks
  • Black closed-toed shoes
  • Black socks
  • Black long-sleeved shirt
  • Dresses and skirts may be worn but must be below the knee when seated. Black non-see through tights must be worn.
