Our week at a glance:
Tuesday: Percussion Ensemble Rehearsal until 4:15 (usually on Mondays but rescheduled for this week)
Wednesday: Jazz Band Rehearsal until 4:15
Saturday: DHB Auditions
District Honor Band Auditions: 12/3 at 11 am.
The District honor band audition time for CJHS is 11 AM this Saturday December, 3rd at Cartersville Middle school. You all can carpool and enjoy a nice meal afterwards on your way home. Please plan on being there around 10.30 to warm up so that you can be in like at 11. Students should wear semi formal clothing. No jeans, t shirts, or tennis shoes, please! Good luck and we are SO proud of you!
Percussion Ensemble and Jazz Band Rehearsal: Tuesday and Wednesday until 4:15
I am excited to start up both our percussion ensemble and our jazz band here at CJHS. Both ensembles are open to all CJHS band students and cost no money to participate. No auditions are required.
- Percussion will rehearsal on Mondays accept for THIS Monday as I have a prior commitment at Cass Middle School. This is the only week that we will have Percussion Ensemble on a Tuesday. We will still rehearse until 4:15.
- Jazz band will be every week on Wednesday until 4:15.
Jacket Order:
Our annual jacket order is now live! If you would like to purchase a band jacket, please click below. You are able to add your name and instrument on there as well for a small fee. These jackets are comfortable and very durable.
7th graders may purchase the “8th graders only” jacket but I would recommend going a size up or two. This jacket is required for ALL high school band members so many 8th graders purchase it their 8th grade year to reduce some of their fees at the beginning of their freshman year.
