Weekly Announcements

This week at a glance:

Monday: After school help for beginners or those who would like tutoring until 4:15

Tuesday: District Honor Band practice until 4:15

*NEW* Wednesday: Pass off day for students to pass off their lines.

Pass Off System

Beginning tomorrow students will have their pass off list for this nine weeks. I like to think of this as a project that students work to complete during each quarter of the school year . Students may pass off these lines at their own pace, as long as they have passed off all nine before the end of the 9 weeks.

Opportunities for students to pass off are :

  • Before school at 7:40 AM
  • During class on Wednesdays
  • After school on Wednesdays until 4:15 PM

Playing Test:

All students had a playing test this Friday. Please check on Infinite Campus for their grade and encourage them to raise their grade up. Students can re-take their test an unlimited amount of times until the end of the 9 weeks when grades are due. The goal for students is to perfect this concept, not for the grade to serve as any form of punishment. Anything less than a 100 is just a reminder that there is still some work to do. Thank you for your support.

District Honor Band and All State:

Please encourage your students to audition for District Honor Band. After our tests this Friday I heard how talented our band is! Lots of the practicing for this will be done in class so students will not need to commit much time after school to work up for this audition. Help me push your students to be a better version of themselves!
