This Week in Band

Hello All,

After a hard working January and an excellent weekend camp I have decided to give the bands Tuesday and Thursday rehearsals off this week.  Wednesday the jazz band will still rehearse because we have our first performance in two weeks.  We are also kicking off our AYP card fundraiser.  Here is the schedule and some important details to remember:

Monday – AYP Card Fundraiser Kickoff

  • Each card is $15 and is good for unlimited use for a year.
  • For every 5 cards sold the seller gets 1 card free. (try and sell 5 before you buy one yourself)
  • Our goal is for each student to sell 10 cards.
  • Turn in money to the CJHS band box ASAP and receive your cards the next day.
  • We will sell until we are out of cards.
  • Checks can be made out to the CJHS Band, we also accept cash.

Wednesday – Jazz Band rehearsal 3:30 – 4:30

Thursday – NO 8TH GRADE AFTER SCHOOL REHEARSAL.  DHB kids leave with Mr. Carr and Mr. Huls to head to Ringold, GA for the DHB weekend.

SELL SELL SELL those AYP Cards !!!

Thank you

I am so thankful for my awesome students and their parents. They rolled their sleeves up today, worked incredibly hard and have a lot to be proud of.

Thank you to all the parent volunteers that came out to set up, serve and tear down lunch. And a huge thank you to the staff for helping my awesome students in sectionals. We are on our way to a great performance in March.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Big Week

Hello all,

This is going to be one big important week for all band members. Here is all the info:

Tuesday: 7th Grade After School Rehearsal 3:30 – 4:30

Wednesday:  Jazz Band After School Rehearsal 3:30 – 4:30

Thursday:  8th Grade After School Rehearsal 3:30 – 4:30

Saturday:  Symphonic Band Camp. 9am-4pm at the Mabry Arts Center. We will be feeding the students lunch. Please come in at 3:30 to watch our wrap up concert.

VOLUNTEERS:  If you can come to volunteer please meet at the CHS band room around 11am, also email me to let me know. We will need a large group of parents to help.
Symphonic camp is just another one of those awesome events that is paid for by your band fee at the beginning of the year. A lot of planning goes into finding staff, ordering food, setup and tear down. It is a huge piece in our preparation to perform at a superior level. Please make sure your child DOES NOT miss this event.

Thanks All.

Email if you can volunteer.
